     Sir John Wallace, 15th of Craigie was born circa 1573.¹ He was born after 1573 at Craigie, Ayrshire, Scotland.¹ He was the son of Sir John Wallace, 14th of Craigie and Margaret Campbell.¹ He married Margaret Maxwell, daughter of John Maxwell, 7th Lord Maxwell and Lady Elizabeth Douglas, circa November 1597.¹ He died before July 1625.¹

     Margaret Maxwell was born circa 1578.¹ She was the daughter of John Maxwell, 7th Lord Maxwell and Lady Elizabeth Douglas.¹ She married Sir John Wallace, 15th of Craigie, son of Sir John Wallace, 14th of Craigie and Margaret Campbell, circa November 1597.¹
     From circa November 1597, her married name became Wallace.¹
