     He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral of the White on 24 October 1770.¹

     Constance Henrietta Middleton was the daughter of John A. Middleton.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Thomas Stokes George Hugh Robertson-Aikman, son of Hugh Henry Robertson-Aikman and Mary Joyce Stokes, in 1899 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.¹ She died circa 20 August 1932, by suicide.¹
     From 1899, her married name became Robertson-Aikman.¹

     Hugh Henry Robertson-Aikman was born on 5 March 1819.¹ He was the son of Captain George Robertson-Aikman and Sarah Cumby.¹ He married Mary Joyce Stokes, daughter of Thomas Stokes and Mary Joyce, on 21 September 1858 at St. James’s, Piccadilly, London, England.¹ He died on 22 January 1882 at age 62.¹

     Mary Joyce Stokes was born in 1823 at Leicester, Leicestershire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Stokes and Mary Joyce.¹ She married Hugh Henry Robertson-Aikman, son of Captain George Robertson-Aikman and Sarah Cumby, on 21 September 1858 at St. James’s, Piccadilly, London, England.¹ She died on 24 January 1887 at Gunn’s Private Hotel, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹
     From 21 September 1858, her married name became Robertson-Aikman.¹

     William Robertson-Aikman was born in 1822.¹ He was the son of Captain George Robertson-Aikman and Sarah Cumby.¹ He died in 1903.¹

     Thomas Stokes was born on 6 February 1784 at Kingston on Soar, Nottinghamshire, England.¹ He married Mary Joyce on 22 April 1822 at St. Margaret, Leicester, Leicestershire, England.¹ He died on 12 October 1867 at age 83 at New Parks, Leicester, Leicestershire, England.¹

     Henrietta Mary Joyce Robertson-Aikman was born on 18 August 1861 at Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ She was the daughter of Hugh Henry Robertson-Aikman and Mary Joyce Stokes.¹ She died in 1949.¹
