     John MacMillan in Carrine is the son of Alexander MacMillan and Geils MacFarlane of Arrochar.¹

     Alexander MacMillan was the son of Archibald MacMillan of Dumore and Katherine MacAlister.¹ He married Geils MacFarlane of Arrochar in 1667.¹ He died in 1685.¹

     Archibald MacMillan of Dumore was the son of Duncan ‘Mor’ MacMillan.² He married Katherine MacAlister.¹ He died in 1676.¹
     He was the founder of the Dunmore branch of the MacMillan Clan.¹

     Katherine MacAlister married Archibald MacMillan of Dumore, son of Duncan ‘Mor’ MacMillan.¹
     Her married name became MacMillan.¹

     Mary MacMillan is the daughter of Archibald MacMillan of Dumore and Katherine MacAlister.¹ She married Duncan Campbell of Culghaltro in 1672.¹
     From 1672, her married name became Campbell.¹

     Duncan Campbell of Culghaltro married Mary MacMillan, daughter of Archibald MacMillan of Dumore and Katherine MacAlister, in 1672.¹

     Geils MacFarlane of Arrochar married Alexander MacMillan, son of Archibald MacMillan of Dumore and Katherine MacAlister, in 1667.¹
     From 1667, her married name became MacMillan.¹

     Duncan MacMillan was the son of Alexander MacMillan and Geils MacFarlane of Arrochar.¹ He married, firstly, Katherine Buchanan of Leny.¹ He married, secondly, Katherine Campbell of Lossit.¹ He died circa 1743, drowned.¹
