     Franz Wilhelm Altgraf zu Salm-Reifferscheidt in Bedburg was born on 14 August 1672 at Bedburg, Germany.1 He was the son of Erich Adolf Altgraf zu Salm-Reifferscheidt in Bedburg and Ernestine Barbara zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort.1 He married, firstly, Marie Agnes Agathe Gräfin Slavata on 29 October 1692.1 He married, secondly, Marie Anna Karoline Prinzessin von und zu Liechtenstein, daughter of Anton Florian Prinz von Liechtenstein and Eleanore Barbara Catharina Gräfin von Thun und Hohenstein, on 14 May 1719 at Vienna, Austria.1 He died on 4 June 1734 at age 61 at Vienna, Austria.1
