     From 15 October 1936, her married name became Mackenzie.¹

     Walter Gregory Underwood was born on 1 August 1847 at Diddlebury, Shropshire, England.¹ He was the son of Reverend Thomas Underwood and Mary Elizabeth Harvey.¹ He married Isabella Montgomery Finlay, daughter of Lt.-Col. George Charles Finlay and Catherine Farquharson Macfarlane, on 22 October 1872 at St. John, Trichinopoly, Madras, India.¹ He died on 29 March 1914 at age 66 at India.¹

     Isabella Montgomery Finlay was born on 7 March 1854 at Kurnool, India.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. George Charles Finlay and Catherine Farquharson Macfarlane.¹ She married Walter Gregory Underwood, son of Reverend Thomas Underwood and Mary Elizabeth Harvey, on 22 October 1872 at St. John, Trichinopoly, Madras, India.¹
     From 22 October 1872, her married name became Underwood.¹

     Reverend Thomas Underwood was born circa 1801.¹ He married Mary Elizabeth Harvey on 30 May 1826 at Ross, Herefordshire, England.¹ He died on 16 April 1860 at The Rectory, Corfton, Shropshire, England.¹
     He graduated from Worcester College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1822 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Worcester College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1825 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was Vicar in 1838 at Diddlebury, Shropshire, England.¹ He held the office of Rural Dean of Ludlow.¹

     Lt.-Col. George Charles Finlay was born in 1828 at Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He was the son of Gilbert Laurie Finlay and Grace Hunter Charles.¹ He married Catherine Farquharson Macfarlane, daughter of Alexander Campbell Macfarlane, on 19 January 1853 at St. Andrew, Madras, India.¹ He died on 2 October 1878 at Bangalore, India.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Madras Native Infantry.¹

     Kate Rosa Underwood was born on 28 July 1873 at Madras, India.¹ She was the daughter of Walter Gregory Underwood and Isabella Montgomery Finlay.¹ She was baptised on 17 September 1873 at Courtallum, Madras, India.¹

     Edith Mary Underwood was born on 3 May 1878 at Madras, India.¹ She was the daughter of Walter Gregory Underwood and Isabella Montgomery Finlay.¹ She was baptised on 10 July 1878 at Colmbatore, Madras, India.¹

     Mary G. Underwood was born in 1883 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ She was the daughter of Walter Gregory Underwood and Isabella Montgomery Finlay.¹
