     Sir Edward Montague Nelson was born in 1841.1 He married Mary Caroline Wallis, daughter of Dr. Frederick Wallis and Mary Underwood, in May 1866.1 He died in February 1919.1
     He held the office of Sheriff of Middlesex.1 He was chairman and managing director of the Australian Chilling and Freezing Company in 1900.1 He was chairman and managing director of the Colonial Consigment and Distributing Company.1 He was chairman and managing director of the Central Queensland Meat Exporting Company.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)1 He held the office of Mayor of Warwick between November 1917 and February 1919.1

     From May 1866, her married name became Nelson.1
