     Gillies ‘Mor’ McBain was the son of Æneas McBain and Isabel Mackenzie.¹ He died in 1746, where he killed 13 men before he was killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Clan Chattan Regiment (Jacobite.)¹ He fought in the Battle of Culloden in 1746.¹
