     Diana Bunbury Thompson is the daughter of Arnold Thompson.¹ She married General Sir Robert Phayre, son of Richard Phayre and Mary Ridgeway, in 1846.¹
     From 1846, her married name became Phayre.¹

     Lt.-Gen. Sir Arthur Purves Phayre was born on 7 May 1812 at Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England.¹ He was the son of Richard Phayre and Mary Ridgeway.¹ He died on 14 December 1885 at age 73 at 12 Goldsmith Terrace, Queensborough Road, Bray, Berkshire, England, unmarried.¹
     He was commissioned in August 1828, in the service of the 7th Bengal Native Infantry.¹ He held the office of Chief Commissioner of Burma between 1862 and 1867.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1863.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.) in 1867.¹ He held the office of Governor of Mauritius between 1874 and 1878.¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.) in 1877.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in 1877.¹

     Hon. Meriel Iona Macdonald was born in 1978.¹ She is the daughter of Godfrey James Macdonald, 8th Baron Macdonald of Slate and Claire Catlow.¹ She married Peter Brodie Strang Steel, son of Colin Brodie Strang Steel and April Eileen Studd.¹
     Her married name became Strang Steel.¹

     Kitty Willow Strang Steel was born on 10 March 2011.¹ She is the daughter of Peter Brodie Strang Steel and Hon. Meriel Iona Macdonald.¹
