     Marie Desiree Smith was born in 1823.1 She was the daughter of Michel Smith.1 She married Sir Charles Frederick Hallé, son of Carl Friedrich Halle and Caroline Brenschidt, on 11 November 1841 at Hagen, Westfalen, Germany.1 She died on 28 April 1866.1
     From 11 November 1841, her married name became Halle.1
