     Horace James Powys was born on 7 March 1873.¹ He was the son of Thomas Bancho Powys-Keck and Sarah Matilda Johnson.¹ He married Edith Mary Cockburn Harvey, daughter of Alexander J. Harvey, on 18 October 1902.¹ He died on 31 January 1952 at age 78.¹
     He was given the name of Horace James Powys-Keck at birth.¹ He was educated at Malvern College, Malvern, Worcestershire, England.¹ He was educated at Monkton Combe College, Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 5th Battalion, King’s Royal Rifle Corps.¹ He fought in the Boer War.¹ He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Newfoundland between 1900 and 1901.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ In 1930 his name was legally changed to Horace James Powys.¹

     Edith Mary Cockburn Harvey was born circa 1882.¹ She was the daughter of Alexander J. Harvey.¹ She married Horace James Powys, son of Thomas Bancho Powys-Keck and Sarah Matilda Johnson, on 18 October 1902.¹ She died on 8 June 1971.¹
     From 18 October 1902, her married name became Powys-Keck.¹ From 1930, her married name became Powys.¹

     Alexander J. Harvey lived at St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada.¹

     Clodagh Betty Powys was born on 14 March 1907.¹ She was the daughter of Horace James Powys and Edith Mary Cockburn Harvey.¹ She married, secondly, José Jorge de Brugada, son of Mariano de Brugada.¹ She married, firstly, Colin Alfred Lampson, son of Alfred Curtis Lampson, on 21 February 1933.¹ She and Colin Alfred Lampson were divorced.¹ She died on 10 August 1964 at age 57.¹
     From 21 February 1933, her married name became Lampson.¹

     Briony Gretel Gyngell is the daughter of Bruce Gyngell.¹ She married Alexius John Benedict Fenwick, son of Anthony Benedict Xavier Fenwick and Susan Deirdre Heber-Percy, in 1984.¹ She and Alexius John Benedict Fenwick were divorced in 1988.¹
     From 1984, her married name became Fenwick.¹

     José Jorge de Brugada was the son of Mariano de Brugada.¹ He married Clodagh Betty Powys, daughter of Horace James Powys and Edith Mary Cockburn Harvey.¹ He died on 7 July 1954.¹
