     Sir Joseph Thackwell was born on 1 February 1781 at Rye Court, Worcestershire, England.¹ He was the son of John Thackwell and Judith Duffy.¹ He married Maria Audriah Roche.¹ He died circa 11 April 1859 at Corkby, Ireland.¹ He was buried on 14 April 1859 at Corkby, County Cork, Ireland.¹
     He was commissioned on 16 June 1798 with the rank of Cornet, in the service of the Worcester Fencible Cavalry.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in September 1799.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 13 June 1801 in the 15th Light Dragoons.¹ He gained the rank of Captain on 9 April 1807.¹ He fought in the Peninsular Wars.¹ He fought in the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.¹ He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the 15th Regiment on 15 June 1820.¹ He was appointed Knight, Order of Hanover (K.H.) in 1834.¹

     John Thackwell was born circa 1753.¹ He married Judith Duffy.¹

     Judith Duffy was born circa 1750.¹ She married John Thackwell.¹
     Her married name became Thackwell.¹

     Maria Audriah Roche was born circa 1804 at Rochemont, County Cork, Ireland.¹ She married Sir Joseph Thackwell, son of John Thackwell and Judith Duffy.¹ She died circa 3 June 1874 at Corkby, County Cork, Ireland.¹ She was buried on 6 June 1874 at Corkby, County Cork, Ireland.¹
     Her married name became Thackwell.¹

     Osbert Dabitôt Thackwell was born in 1837.¹ He was the son of Sir Joseph Thackwell and Maria Audriah Roche.¹ He died on 20 March 1858 at Lucknow, India, killed by sepoys while walking in the street.¹
     He gained the rank of Ensign on 25 June 1855 in the 15th Bengal Native Infantry.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 23 November 1856.¹

     Mary Theodosia Sartoris was born in 1845 at London, England.¹ She was the daughter of Edward John Sartoris and Adelaide Kemble.¹ She married Henry Evans Gordon on 19 April 1871 at Sarisbury, Hampshire, England.¹ She died in 1925.¹
