     Christopher Ley was the son of George Ley and Jane (?)1 He married Dorothy Gaunt, daughter of George Gaunt, on 7 July 1676.1 He was buried on 31 October 1701.1 He was buried circa 28 October 1701.1
     He was ancestor of the Leys of Mayfield, extinct in the male line when Thomas Ley died without issue. Thomas left his estate to his cousin Robert C Greaves later Ley (by royal warrant in 1820.)1
