     Frederick Archdale was born in 1828.1 He was the son of William Hogge and Elizabeth Wells.1 He married Emily Katherine le Strange Harriet Eliza Fitzroy, daughter of Reverend Frederick Thomas William Coke Fitzroy and Emilia Le Strange Styleman, on 21 June 1859.1 He died in 1903.1
     He was given the name of Frederick Hogge at birth.1 In 1866 his name was legally changed to Frederick Archdale.1
