Horace Twiss was born on 28 February 1787 at Dr. Williams Library, London, England.1 He was the son of Francis Twiss and Frances Kemble.1 He married, firstly, Anne Lawrence Serle on 2 August 1817.2 He married, secondly, Ann Louisa Andrewanna Sterkey, daughter of Reverend Alexander Sterkey, on 3 April 1830.2 He died on 4 May 1849 at age 62.1
