     James Powell was baptised on 29 July 1737 at St. Peter le Poor, London, England^G.^1,2 He was the son of David Powell and Susanna Thistlethwayte.¹ He married Anne Cornthwaite, daughter of Reverend Thomas Cornthwaite, on 8 November 1775.¹ He died on 25 February 1824 at age 86.¹
     He lived at Wattisfield, Suffolk, England^G.¹ He lived at Clapton, London, England^G.¹

     Anne Cornthwaite was born on 15 May 1759.² She was the daughter of Reverend Thomas Cornthwaite.¹ She married James Powell, son of David Powell and Susanna Thistlethwayte, on 8 November 1775.¹ She died on 27 August 1831 at age 72.¹
     From 8 November 1775, her married name became Powell.¹

     Reverend Thomas Cornthwaite was the Vicar at Hackney, London, England^G, for 46 years.¹

     Reverend Thomas Baden Powell was born on 14 October 1786.¹ He was the son of James Powell and Anne Cornthwaite.¹ He married Sarah Louisa Cotton, daughter of Reverend Nathaniel Cotton, on 22 May 1811.¹ He died on 25 April 1868 at age 81.¹
     He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1808 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was a Fellow between 1808 and 1812 at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was the Rector at Newick, Sussex, England^G.¹ He held the office of Prebendary of Chichester.¹

     Sarah Louisa Cotton was the daughter of Reverend Nathaniel Cotton.¹ She married Reverend Thomas Baden Powell, son of James Powell and Anne Cornthwaite, on 22 May 1811.¹ She died on 13 April 1835.¹
     From 22 May 1811, her married name became Powell.¹

     Reverend Nathaniel Cotton was the Rector at Thornby, Northamptonshire, England^G.¹

     Reverend William Powell was born on 25 January 1817.¹ He was the son of Reverend Thomas Baden Powell and Sarah Louisa Cotton.¹ He married Isabella Vandamme Mackenzie on 2 November 1862.¹ He died on 28 January 1885 at age 68.¹
     He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1839 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1846 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.¹ He was the Rector in 1868 at Newick, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Isabella Vandamme Mackenzie married Reverend William Powell, son of Reverend Thomas Baden Powell and Sarah Louisa Cotton, on 2 November 1862.¹ She died in May 1886.¹
     From 2 November 1862, her married name became Powell.¹

     Thomas Baden Powell was born on 2 January 1864.¹ He was the son of Reverend William Powell and Isabella Vandamme Mackenzie.¹
     He lived between 1877 and 1879 at Newick, Bradfield, England^G.¹ He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     William George Powell was born on 25 January 1865.¹ He was the son of Reverend William Powell and Isabella Vandamme Mackenzie.¹ He married Maida Randall on 24 August 1899.¹
     He lived between 1877 and 1882 at Newick, Bradfield, England^G.¹
