John Robert Francis Wild1 
John Robert Francis Wild was born on 10 April 1873 at Skelton Cleveland, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of Benjamin Wild and Mary Cook.1 He married, firstly, Vera Alexandra Bogosoff, daughter of Theodore Bogosoff and Emilie Amelia Bensley, on 24 October 1922.1 He and Vera Alexandra Bogosoff were divorced on 27 December 1928.2 He married, secondly, Beatrice Lydia Rhys Rowbotham in 1932 at South Africa.1 He died in 1939 at Babrosco, Klerksdorp, Transvaal, South Africa.1
John Robert Francis Wild also went by the nick-name of Frank.2 He was an able seaman on Scott’s Discovery expedition in 1901.2 He was on Shackleton’s Nimrod expedition between 1908 and 1909.2 He was on Mawson’s Aurora expedition in 1911.1,2 He was on Shackleton’s Imperial Trans-Antarctic expedition between 1914 and 1916.2 He was on the Shackleton-Rowett expedition between 1921 and 1922.2
