     Charles Bellew Judge was born on 19 October 1857 at Calcutta, India.1 He was the son of Thomas Edward Bristow Judge and Maria Adelaide Bellew.1 He was baptised on 15 November 1857 at Calcutta, India.1 He married Ellen Annie Jeffcock, daughter of William Henry Jeffcock and Susanna Gully, in 1887 at The Strand, London, England.1 He died on 20 October 1897 at age 40 at Dargai, Bengal, India, killed in action.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the 2nd PWO Gurkhas.1 He fought in the North-West Frontier.1
