     Sir Edward Waldegrave, 1st Bt. was born circa 1568.2 He was the son of Charles Waldegrave and Jermina Jerningham.2 He married Eleanor Lovell, daughter of Sir Thomas Lovell, circa 19 July 1598.2 He died after 1647.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Sudbury in 1584/85.2 He was appointed Knight in 1607.2 He was created 1st Baronet Waldegrave, of Hever Castle, Kent [England] on 1 August 1643.2 He fought in the English Civil War.2
