     Mary Louisa Thomson was born in 1837 at Llangelly, Breconshire, Wales.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Hill Mussenden Leathes, son of Henry Mussenden Leathes and Charlotte Cook Fowler, on 20 August 1856 at St. John’s, Notting Hill, London, England.¹
     From 20 August 1856, her married name became Leathes.¹

     Frances Mary de Mussenden Leathes was born in 1860 at Southsea, Hampshire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Hill Mussenden Leathes and Mary Louisa Thomson.¹ She married Colonel William Whitmore Smith, son of General Michael William Smith and Charlotte Carr, on 16 December 1885.¹ She died on 13 January 1943.²
     From 16 December 1885, her married name became Smith.¹

     Colonel William Whitmore Smith was born on 29 September 1846.¹ He is the son of General Michael William Smith and Charlotte Carr.¹ He married Frances Mary de Mussenden Leathes, daughter of Lt.-Col. Hill Mussenden Leathes and Mary Louisa Thomson, on 16 December 1885.² He died on 4 June 1918 at age 71.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Gertrude K. Leathes was born in 1861 at Herringfleet, Suffolk, England.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Hill Mussenden Leathes and Mary Louisa Thomson.¹

     Evelyn M. Leathes was born in 1865.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Hill Mussenden Leathes and Mary Louisa Thomson.¹
