     John Ogilvie Corbin was born on 13 February 1910 at Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.2 He was the son of John Corbin and Margaret Ogilivie.2 He married, firstly, Dr. Mary Elisabeth Bunting, daughter of Dr. Edward Lanceot Bunting, on 4 September 1939 at St. John’s Church, Worcester, Worcestershire, England.2 He married, secondly, Ellen Gertrude Elliott, daughter of Captain Robert Perceval Elliott, in 1955.1 He died on 31 December 1971 at age 61 at Sarawak, Indonesia.2
     He was educated at Geelong Grammer School, Geelong, Victoria, Australia.2 He graduated from Adelaide University, Adelaide, South Australia, AustraliaG, with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)1,2 He graduated from Adelaide University, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia, with a Bachelor of Surgery (B.S.)1,2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons (F.R.C.S.) in 1939.1 He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of officer between 1942 and 1945 in the Royal Army Medical Corps.2
