     He was educated at Aldenham School, Elstree, Hertfordshire, England.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was commissioned in 1939 with the rank of officer, in the service of the Gloucestershire Regiment.¹ He was Instructor, Australian Staff College between 1966 and 1968.¹ He was Staff of CDS London between 1969 and 1972.¹ He was Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1972.¹ He was Chief of Staff and Commander British Contingent UN Forces, Cyprus between 1972 and 1974.¹ He lived in 1976 at Royal Oak House, Stoke Trister, Wincanton, Somerset, England.¹

     Brigadier Charles Cooper Russell was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He lived at 125 Rivermead Court, London, England.¹
