Inverness [U.K., 1806] on 17 August 1898.2 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, where he was mentioned in dispatches.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Harborough between 1918 and 1923.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Leicestershire.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Ross and Cromarty.2
