Alston, on 2 January 1858.1 He married, secondly, Louisa Edith Morris, daughter of Colonel M. K. Morris, on 25 February 1897.1 He died on 27 November 1913 at age 79.1
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Middlesex.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Middlesex.1 He was with the Bengal Civil Service.1
