     Douglas Tindall was born on 18 October 1907 at Skipton, Yorkshire, England.¹ He was the son of Arthur Sutcliffe Tindall and Maria Ryder.¹ He married Phyllis Smith, daughter of Charles Ramsden Smith and Amelia Hargreaves, on 16 May 1942 at Skipton, Yorkshire, England.¹ He died in June 1979 at age 71 at Skipton, Yorkshire, England.¹
