Turner van Straubenzee and Florinda Harriette Hamilton, on 7 August 1912.1 He died on 29 December 1957 at age 78.1
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.)1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He held the office of Governor of Newfoundland between 1936 and 1946.1
