     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of High Sheriff in 1914.¹ He lived at Castle Grace, County Tipperary, Ireland.¹

     Margaret Grubb was born on 7 September 1853.¹ She was the daughter of Richard Davis Grubb and Margaret Butler Grubbe.² She married Colonel John Russell Mechem in 1895.¹ She died, without issue.¹
     From 1895, her married name became Mechem.¹

     Alice Hannah Binney was the daughter of Edward William Binney.² She married Samuel Richard Grubb, son of Richard Davis Grubb and Margaret Butler Grubbe, on 8 July 1885.¹ She died on 29 August 1955.¹
     From 8 July 1955, her married name became Grubb.¹

     Richard Raymond De Cruce Grubb was born on 11 June 1886.¹ He was the son of Samuel Richard Grubb and Alice Hannah Binney.² He married Ruth Leney, daughter of Alfred Charles Leney, on 8 July 1914.¹ He died on 28 December 1970 at age 84.¹
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of hussar in the Third Hussars.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Flying Corps.¹ He was with the Passed Staff College at Camberley, Surrey, England.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1916.¹ He gained the rank of commander between 1932 and 1936 in the Third Hussars.¹ He was a cavalry instructor at the Senior Officers’ School between 1936 and 1938.¹ He retired from the military in 1939.¹ In 1939 he was re-empd for service on the General Staff.¹ He lived at Castle Grace, County Tipperary, Ireland.¹

     Joan Mary Grubb was born on 30 July 1889.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Richard Grubb and Alice Hannah Binney.² She married, firstly, Gerard Arthur O’Callaghan, son of General Sir Desmond O’Callaghan, on 14 October 1914.¹ She married, secondly, Francis James Bulmer de Salles La Terriere on 1 November 1918.¹ She died on 2 February 1968 at age 78.¹
     From 14 October 1914, her married name became O’Callaghan.¹ From 1 November 1918, her married name became de Salles La Terriere.¹ She lived at Kiltinan Castle, County Tipperary, Ireland.¹

     General Sir Desmond O’Callaghan lived at Iverna Court, London, England.¹

     Gerard Arthur O’Callaghan was the son of General Sir Desmond O’Callaghan.² He married Joan Mary Grubb, daughter of Samuel Richard Grubb and Alice Hannah Binney, on 14 October 1914.¹ He died on 24 May 1915 at Flanders, Belgium, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of officer in the 18th Irish Regiment.¹
