Geoffrey Winthrop Young was born on 25 October 1876.1 He was the son of Sir George Young, 3rd Bt. and Alice Eacy Kennedy.3 He married Eleanor Slingsby, daughter of William Cecil Slingsby, on 25 April 1918.1 He died on 6 September 1958 at age 81.1
