     She was with the Voluntary Aid Detachment Emergency and Royal Air Force Hospitals during the Second World War.¹

     Horace Edward Broughton Young was born on 13 July 1853.¹ He was the son of Henry Young and Catherine Anne Eccles.² He married Ellen Elizabeth Thorne, daughter of George Thorne, in 1882.¹ He died on 3 October 1924 at age 71.¹

     Ellen Elizabeth Thorne was the daughter of George Thorne.² She married Horace Edward Broughton Young, son of Henry Young and Catherine Anne Eccles, in 1882.¹ She died on 27 April 1938.¹
     From 1882, her married name became Young.

     Percy Horace Broughton Young was born on 13 October 1883.¹ He was the son of Horace Edward Broughton Young and Ellen Elizabeth Thorne.² He died on 16 April 1919 at age 35.¹

     George Arnold Young was born in 1886.¹ He was the son of Horace Edward Broughton Young and Ellen Elizabeth Thorne.² He died on 4 October 1917, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1916 in the Royal Field Artillery (SR) and on Personal Staff.¹

     Henry Herbert Young was born on 13 January 1895.¹ He was the son of Horace Edward Broughton Young and Ellen Elizabeth Thorne.² He married Margaret Caroline Britannia Murray, daughter of Captain James Somerville Murray, in February 1920.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Garrison Artillery (SR.)¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.¹

     Captain James Somerville Murray lived at Wentworth Falls, New South Wales, Australia.¹

     Margaret Caroline Britannia Murray is the daughter of Captain James Somerville Murray.² She married Henry Herbert Young, son of Horace Edward Broughton Young and Ellen Elizabeth Thorne, in February 1920.¹
     From February 1920, her married name became Young.
