     Jane Astley was the daughter of Richard Astley and Joan Oteley.¹ She married Thomas Bagot, son of Sir Lewis Bagot and Anna Montgomery.¹ She died on 13 March 1557.¹
     Her married name became Bagot.¹

     Richard Astley was the son of Thomas Astley and Margaret Boteler.² He married Joan Oteley, daughter of Thomas Oteley.² He died in 1532.²
     He lived at Patshull, Staffordshire, England^G.¹

     Rt. Rev. Essex Digby was the son of Sir Robert Digby and Lettice FitzGerald, Baroness Offaly.¹ He married, secondly, Lettice Brereton.¹ He married, firstly, Thomasine Gilbert, daughter of Sir William Gilbert.¹ He died on 12 May 1683.
     He held the office of Bishop of Dromore.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹

     Richard Bagot was born after 1523.¹ He was the son of Thomas Bagot and Jane Astley.¹ He married Mary Saunders, daughter of William Saunders.¹ He died on 2 February 1596/97.¹
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Staffordshire.¹ He lived at Blithfield, Staffordshire, England^G.¹

     Mary Saunders was the daughter of William Saunders.¹ She married Richard Bagot, son of Thomas Bagot and Jane Astley.¹ She died circa March 1608.¹ She was buried on 22 March 1608.¹
     Her married name became Bagot.¹

     Lettice Brereton married Rt. Rev. Essex Digby, son of Sir Robert Digby and Lettice FitzGerald, Baroness Offaly.¹
     Her married name became Digby.¹

     Rt. Rev. Simon Digby was the son of Rt. Rev. Essex Digby and Lettice Brereton.³ He married Elizabeth Westenra, daughter of Warner Westenra and Elizabeth Wybrantz.¹ He died on 7 April 1720.³
     He held the office of Bishop of Limerick.⁴ He graduated from Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)³ He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)³ He held the office of Bishop of Elphin.¹ He also had two other daughters.³

     Elizabeth Westenra was the daughter of Warner Westenra and Elizabeth Wybrantz.¹ She married Rt. Rev. Simon Digby, son of Rt. Rev. Essex Digby and Lettice Brereton.¹
     Her married name became Digby.¹

     Warner Westenra married Elizabeth Wybrantz.¹ He died in 1676.¹
     He emigrated to Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, Holland.¹ He was naturalized as a Irish subject in 1662.¹ In 1667 he bought, from Colonel Grace, the town and lands of Clonleagh, Breekennagh and Lyagh, King’s County.¹

     John Digby was the son of Rt. Rev. Simon Digby and Elizabeth Westenra.¹ He married May Marsh, daughter of Very Rev. Jeremy Marsh, on 20 March 1717.¹
     He lived at Landenstown, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹
