     Her married name became White.¹

     Hon. Sir Matthew Robert Best was born on 18 June 1878.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. George Best, 5th Baron Wynford and Edith Anne Marsh.² He married Annis Elizabeth Wood, daughter of Charles Frederic Wood, on 2 January 1908.¹ He died on 13 October 1940 at age 62.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) and bar.¹ He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹ He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM King George V between 1927 and 1928.² He was Rear-Admiral of the 2nd Cruiser Squadron between 1929 and 1931.¹ He was Admiral Superintendant of the Malta Dockyard between 1931 and 1934.¹ He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in 1932.¹ He was Commander-in-Chief of the America and West Indies Station between 1934 and 1937.¹ He gained the rank of Admiral in 1936.¹

     Charles Frederic Wood lived at Twyford House, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹

     Annis Elizabeth Wood was the daughter of Charles Frederic Wood.² She married Hon. Sir Matthew Robert Best, son of Lt.-Col. George Best, 5th Baron Wynford and Edith Anne Marsh, on 2 January 1908.¹ She died on 12 May 1971.¹
     From 2 January 1908, her married name became Best.

     Captain George Frederic Matthew Best was born on 14 December 1908.¹ He was the son of Hon. Sir Matthew Robert Best and Annis Elizabeth Wood.² He married Rosemary Elizabeth Brooks, daughter of Major John Chadwick Brooks, on 26 July 1940.¹ He died on 7 March 1994 at age 85.¹
     He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹ He was Deputy Director of Naval Intelligence between 1956 and 1958.¹ He was Commodore of the Arabian Seas and Persian Gulf between 1958 and 1960.¹ He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Elizabeth II in 1960.¹ He held the office of Member, Dorset County Council between 1962 and 1985.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1985.¹

     Major John Chadwick Brooks lived at Chiswick, London, England.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.¹

     Rosemary Elizabeth Brooks was born in 1918.² She was the daughter of Major John Chadwick Brooks.³ She married Captain George Frederic Matthew Best, son of Hon. Sir Matthew Robert Best and Annis Elizabeth Wood, on 26 July 1940.¹ She died on 14 February 2015.²
     From 26 July 1940, her married name became Best. She lived in 2003 at Wallhayes, Nettlecombe, Bridport, Dorset, England.¹
