     Robert Brown Wolseley was born in 1809.1 He was the son of John Rogerson Wolseley and Catherine Brown.2 He married, firstly, Eliza Anne Hughes, daughter of John Hughes, on 6 August 1835 at St. Luke, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.1,3 He married, secondly, Lalla Marcella Bingham, daughter of Captain George Oliver Bingham, in 1852.1 He died on 6 July 1858.1
     He was a civil engineer.1
