Hon. Edward Plantagenet Joseph Corbally Stourton1 
He was given the name of Edward Plantagenet Joseph Stourton at birth. He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, England.1 He was educated at Beaumont College, Old Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded twice and was mentioned in despatches four times.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1 In 1927 his name was legally changed to Edward Plantagenet Joseph Corbally Stourton.1 He was commander of the 1st Battalion, King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry between 1929 and 1932.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1933.1
