     Lt.-Col. Sir Edward Wheler, 12th Bt. was born on 5 December 1857.¹ He is the son of Colonel Trevor Wheler, 11th Bt. and Cordelia Mary Scott.² He married Mary Leontine Wood, daughter of Sir Richard Wood, on 4 July 1883.¹ He died on 11 August 1903 at age 45.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 1st Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment.¹ He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Wheler, of City of Westminster, co. London [E., 1660] on 10 January 1900.¹

     Dorothy Kathleen Wheler was born on 7 January 1879.¹ She was the daughter of Colonel Trevor Wheler, 11th Bt. and Cordelia Mary Scott.² She died on 20 March 1883 at age 4.¹
