     John Mordaunt Wheler was born on 18 July 1845.1 He was the son of Reverend Henry Trevor Wheler and Charlotte Isham.2 He married, firstly, Caroline Martha Anne Cash, daughter of Josiah Cash, on 16 October 1872.1 He and Caroline Martha Anne Cash were divorced in 1881.1 He married, secondly, Ellen Victoria Coates, daughter of John Coates, in 1882.1 He died on 18 January 1910 at age 64.1
     He was registered as a Licentiate, Society of Apothecaries (L.S.A.)1 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.)1
