He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England.1 He graduated from King’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1895 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1898 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He graduated from King’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1899 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of Major in the 4th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Cohen, of Highfield, Shoreham, Kent [U.K., 1905] on 8 November 1909.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.1 On his death his baronetcy expired.1
