He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Vernon, of Hodnet [E., 1660] on 5 February 1682/83.1 He was educated in 1698 at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was Envoy to Augustus, King of Poland in 1711.1 He lived at Hodnet, Shropshire, England.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
