     He was given the name of Robert Lambert Turner at birth.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 87th Fusiliers.1

Charles Turner and Harriett Ann Stevenson.1 He married Julia Browne on 24 February 1831 at Kilmaine, County Mayo, Ireland.2 He died on 14 February 1864 at age 69 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Engineers.1

Charles Turner and Harriett Ann Stevenson.1 He married Helen Gzowski, daughter of Sir Casimir Stanislaus Gzowski and Maria M. Beebe, on 20 August 1863 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.1 He died on 15 May 1888 at Dover, Kent, England.1 He was buried on 18 May 1888 at Dover, Kent, England.2
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Artillery.1
