     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹ He retired from the military in 1957, with the rank of Captain, late of the Royal Artillery.¹ He was a farmer at Zimbabwe.² He was a school master between 1977 and 1983 at Ruzawi Prep School, Marondera, Zimbabwe.¹ He succeeded as the 15th Baronet Annesley, of Mountnorris, co. Armagh [I., 1620] on 16 March 1983.² He succeeded as the 15th Baron Mountnorris, of Mountnorris, co. Armagh [I., 1629] on 16 March 1983.² He succeeded as the 15th Viscount of Valentia, co. Kerry [I., 1622] on 16 March 1983.²

     William Arthur Joy lived at Bristol, England.¹

     Anita Phyllis Joy is the daughter of William Arthur Joy.² She married Richard John Dighton Annesley, 15th Viscount of Valentia, son of Francis Dighton Annesley, 14th Viscount of Valentia and Joan Elizabeth Curtis, on 10 August 1957.¹
     From 10 August 1957, her married name became Annesley. After her marriage, Anita Phyllis Joy was styled as Viscountess of Valentia on 16 March 1983.

     Hon. Francis William Dighton Annesley was born on 29 December 1959.¹ He is the son of Richard John Dighton Annesley, 15th Viscount of Valentia and Anita Phyllis Joy.² He married Shaneen Hobbs in 1982.¹
     He was educated at Falcon College, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.¹

     Shaneen Hobbs married Hon. Francis William Dighton Annesley, son of Richard John Dighton Annesley, 15th Viscount of Valentia and Anita Phyllis Joy, in 1982.¹
     From 1982, her married name became Annesley.

     Kirsten Annesley was born in 1986.¹ She is the daughter of Hon. Francis William Dighton Annesley and Shaneen Hobbs.²

     Sarah Ashleigh Annesley was born in 1989.¹ She is the daughter of Hon. Francis William Dighton Annesley and Shaneen Hobbs.²

     Hon. Richard Dighton Annesley was born on 1 April 1962.¹ He was the son of Richard John Dighton Annesley, 15th Viscount of Valentia and Anita Phyllis Joy.² He died in 1989.¹

     Hon. Peter John Annesley was born on 18 December 1967.¹ He is the son of Richard John Dighton Annesley, 15th Viscount of Valentia and Anita Phyllis Joy.² He married Deborah Coetes in 1987.¹
