     John Trotter, 3rd of Mortonhall was born circa 1639.1 He was the son of John Trotter, 2nd of Mortonhall and Janet Morrison.2 He died in 1665 at Malta, unmarried.1
     In 1652 he was served heir to his father.1

Henry Trotter, 4th of Mortonhall1

     Henry Trotter, 4th of Mortonhall was born circa 1643.1 He was the son of John Trotter, 2nd of Mortonhall and Janet Morrison.2,1 He married Marian Dalmahoy, daughter of Sir Alexander Dalmahoy of that Ilk.1 He died in 1685.1
     He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court in 1680.1

     Thomas Trotter, 7th of Mortonhall was the son of John Trotter, 5th of Mortonhall and Elizabeth Wilkinson.2,1 He married Joanna Porterfield, daughter of Gabriel Porterfield, in 1770.1 He died in 1793.1
     He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court in 1792.1 He also had six daughters.1
