     Lawrence Lionel Tollemache was born in 1894.1 He was the son of Hon. Ranulph Carteret Tollemache and Annie Mary Smith.2 He married Violet Mary A’deane, daughter of John Robert Bayly A’deane, on 6 January 1926.1 He died on 14 June 1954.1
     He fought in the First World War. He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he became a Japanase POW 1941-1945.1

John A’deane 3

     John A’deane was born in 1826 at Taunton, Somerset, England.2 He was the son of John Tucker.2 He married Maria Lydia Bayley, daughter of Robert Deane Bayley, in 1864 at Southwell, Nottinghamshire, England.2 He died in 1899.2
     He was given the name of John Tucker at birth.2 On 23 October 1865 his name was legally changed to John A’deane by Deed Poll.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He lived at Ashcott, Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand.2

     From 6 January 1926, her married name became Tollemache. From 1956, her married name became Reid.
