     Lt.-Col. Ernest Hovell Thurlow was born on 14 September 1846.¹ He was the son of Reverend Charles Augustus Thurlow and Frances Margaret Lethbridge.² He married Celia Turner, daughter of Frederick T. Turner, on 29 August 1874.¹ He died on 22 July 1936 at age 89.¹
     He fought in the Zulu War in 1879.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the King’s Royal Rifle Corps.¹ He fought in the 1st Boer War in 1881.¹

     Frederick T. Turner lived at The Cedars, Clapham Commons, London, England.¹

     Celia Turner was the daughter of Frederick T. Turner.² She married Lt.-Col. Ernest Hovell Thurlow, son of Reverend Charles Augustus Thurlow and Frances Margaret Lethbridge, on 29 August 1874.¹ She died on 2 February 1922.¹
     From 29 August 1874, her married name became Thurlow.

     Godfrey Hovell Thurlow was born on 12 December 1883.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Ernest Hovell Thurlow and Celia Turner.² He married Amy Tippett, daughter of John Wellington Tippett, on 26 December 1910.¹ He died on 6 January 1935 at age 51.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He was MT, Royal Army Service Corps.¹

     Amy Tippett was the daughter of John Wellington Tippett.² She married Godfrey Hovell Thurlow, son of Lt.-Col. Ernest Hovell Thurlow and Celia Turner, on 26 December 1910.¹ She died on 10 September 1931.¹
     From 26 December 1910, her married name became Thurlow.

     Edith Helen Thurlow was born on 13 April 1875.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Ernest Hovell Thurlow and Celia Turner.² She married Captain Herbert Taylor on 16 August 1900.¹ She died on 30 May 1952 at age 77.¹
     From 16 August 1900, her married name became Taylor.

     Captain Herbert Taylor married Edith Helen Thurlow, daughter of Lt.-Col. Ernest Hovell Thurlow and Celia Turner, on 16 August 1900.¹ He died on 11 October 1915.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 16th Battalion, King’s Royal Rifle Corps.¹

     Lt.-Col. Reginald Heber Thurlow was born on 3 January 1848.¹ He was the son of Reverend Charles Augustus Thurlow and Frances Margaret Lethbridge.² He married Mary Smyth, daughter of Henry Smyth, on 23 April 1881.¹ He died on 16 April 1891 at age 43.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 1st Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers.¹

     Mary Smyth was the daughter of Henry Smyth.¹ She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Reginald Heber Thurlow, son of Reverend Charles Augustus Thurlow and Frances Margaret Lethbridge, on 23 April 1881.¹ She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Henry Kilgour on 15 December 1898.¹ She died on 3 November 1945.¹
     From 23 April 1881, her married name became Thurlow. From 15 December 1898, her married name became Kilgour.¹
