     He was educated at Dauntsey’s School, West Lavington, Wiltshire, England.¹ He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He graduated from Birmingham University, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, in 1951 with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)¹ He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Doctor of Science (Sc.D.)¹ He graduated from Birmingham University, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, in 1961 with a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society, Edinburgh (F.R.S.E.)¹ He was Purdie Professor of Chemistry at St. Andrew’s University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Tedder, of Glengulin, co. Stirling [U.K., 1946] on 3 June 1967.¹

     Samuel George Growcott lived at Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.¹

     Peggy Eileen Growcott is the daughter of Samuel George Growcott.² She married John Michael Tedder, 2nd Baron Tedder, son of Marshal of the RAF Arthur William Tedder, 1st Baron Tedder and Rosalinde Maclardy, on 17 April 1952.¹
     From 17 April 1952, her married name became Tedder. After her marriage, Peggy Eileen Growcott was styled as Baroness Tedder on 3 June 1967. She lived in 2003 at Little Rathmore, Kennedy Gardens, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland.¹

     Dorothy Frances Farquhar Bernard was born on 28 November 1886 at Singapore.^2,3 She was the daughter of Francis Gumm Bernard and Edith Frances Edwards.¹ She married Brian Ponsonby Fitzgerald-Moore, son of Walter Robert Fitzgerald-Moore and Marion Sophia Greenway, on 4 November 1913 at Calcutta, India.^1,2 She died on 22 May 1963 at age 76 at Westminster, London, England.³
     From 4 November 1913, her married name became Fitzgerald-Moore.¹

     Hon. Andrew Jonathan Tedder was born on 22 August 1958.¹ He is the son of John Michael Tedder, 2nd Baron Tedder and Peggy Eileen Growcott.²
