     John Talbot was born in 1607/8.1 He was the son of Richard Talbot and Elizabeth Kempe.2 He married Lady Catherine Plunkett, daughter of Lucas Plunkett, 1st Earl of Fingall and Hon. Susannah Brabazon, in 1637.1 He died in 1671.1
     In 1653 he disposed of Malahide by the regicide Miles Corbet.1

     He held the office of Alderman of Dublin in 1688, under King James II’s charter.1 In 1702 he inherited the Mornington estate following the death of his cousin Patrick Draycott.1
