     Sir Benjamin Hugh Sykes, 2nd Bt. was born on 8 June 1893.¹ He was the son of Sir Charles Sykes, 1st Bt. and Mary Newsome.² He married Audrey Winifred Thompson, daughter of Frederick Charles Thompson, on 6 June 1935.¹ He died on 22 December 1974 at age 81, without issue.¹
     Sir Benjamin Hugh Sykes, 2nd Bt. usually went by his middle name of Hugh.¹ He was educated at Leys School, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Sykes, of Kingsknowes, co. Selkirk [U.K., 1921] on 16 November 1950.¹

     Frederick Charles Thompson lived at Cricklewood, London, England, Cricklewood.¹

     Audrey Winifred Thompson is the daughter of Frederick Charles Thompson.² She married Sir Benjamin Hugh Sykes, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Charles Sykes, 1st Bt. and Mary Newsome, on 6 June 1935.¹
     From 6 June 1935, her married name became Sykes.

     Stanley Edgar Sykes was born on 22 July 1895.¹ He was the son of Sir Charles Sykes, 1st Bt. and Mary Newsome.² He married Florence Anaise le Gallais, daughter of François Marie le Gallais, on 16 March 1921.¹ He died on 1 December 1963 at age 68.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 5th Battalion, Duke of Wellington’s West Riding Regiment.¹

     François Marie le Gallais lived at Jersey, Channel Islands.¹

     Florence Anaise le Gallais was the daughter of François Marie le Gallais.² She married Stanley Edgar Sykes, son of Sir Charles Sykes, 1st Bt. and Mary Newsome, on 16 March 1921.¹ She died on 3 July 1955.¹
     From 16 March 1921, her married name became Sykes.

     Sir John Charles Anthony Le Gallais Sykes, 3rd Bt. was born on 19 April 1928.¹ He was the son of Stanley Edgar Sykes and Florence Anaise le Gallais.² He married Aitha Isobel Dean, daughter of Lionel Dean, on 16 October 1954.¹ He and Aitha Isobel Dean were divorced in 1969.¹ He died on 12 May 2001 at age 73, without issue.¹
     He was educated at Churcher’s College, Petersfield, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He was an export merchant.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Sykes, of Kingsknowes, co. Selkirk [U.K., 1921] on 1 December 1963.¹

     Lionel Dean lived at Hazeldene, New Mill, Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England.¹

     Aitha Isobel Dean is the daughter of Lionel Dean.² She married Sir John Charles Anthony Le Gallais Sykes, 3rd Bt., son of Stanley Edgar Sykes and Florence Anaise le Gallais, on 16 October 1954.¹ She and Sir John Charles Anthony Le Gallais Sykes, 3rd Bt. were divorced in 1969.¹
     From 16 October 1954, her married name became Sykes.

     Michael Le Gallais Sykes was born on 4 January 1932.¹ He was the son of Stanley Edgar Sykes and Florence Anaise le Gallais.² He married, firstly, Joan Groome, daughter of Cecil Groome, on 15 August 1953.¹ He married Jacqueline Susan Melia, daughter of Captain C. Melia, in 1976.¹ He died in 1981.¹
     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the 1st Duke of Wellington’s Regiment.¹ He was educated at Trent College, Long Eaton, Derbyshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Sherwood Foresters.¹
