     John Alexander Sutton was born on 23 July 1915.¹ He was the son of Thomas Alexander Sutton and Gwendoline Forsyth-Forrest.² He married Violet Deirdre Shepherd, daughter of James Sheringham Shepherd, on 5 January 1950.¹ He died in 1981.¹
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.¹

     James Sheringham Shepherd lived at Killerack, Doneraile, County Cork, Ireland.¹
