     He was educated at Western Canada College, Canada.¹ He was educated at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.¹ He succeeded as the 17th Baronet Stonhouse, of Radley, Berkshire [E., 1628] on 22 November 1967.¹ He succeeded as the 14th Baronet Stonhouse [E., 1670] on 22 November 1967.¹

     John M. Shield lived at Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.¹

     Winifred Emily Shield was the daughter of John M. Shield.² She married Sir Philip Allan Stonhouse, 14th/17th Bt., son of Sir Arthur Allan Stonhouse, 13th/16th Bt. and Beatrice Feron, on 19 June 1946.¹ She died in 1989.¹
     From 19 June 1946, her married name became Stonhouse.

     Timothy Allan Stonhouse was born on 19 July 1950.¹ He is the son of Sir Philip Allan Stonhouse, 14th/17th Bt. and Winifred Emily Shield.² He married Marija Baros, daughter of George Baros, in 1976.¹
     He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated with a Diploma of Education.¹

     George Baros lived at Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.¹

     Marija Baros is the daughter of George Baros.² She married Timothy Allan Stonhouse, son of Sir Philip Allan Stonhouse, 14th/17th Bt. and Winifred Emily Shield, in 1976.¹
     From 1976, her married name became Stonhouse.

     Matthew Paul Stonhouse was born in 1980.¹ He is the son of Timothy Allan Stonhouse and Marija Baros.²

     Benjamin Judah Stonhouse was born in 1983.¹ He is the son of Timothy Allan Stonhouse and Marija Baros.²

     Geraldine Dorothy Stonhouse was born on 9 June 1921.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Arthur Allan Stonhouse, 13th/16th Bt. and Beatrice Feron.² She married F/Lt. Ross Patterson MacLean on 29 May 1941.¹
     From 29 May 1941, her married name became MacLean.

     F/Lt. Ross Patterson MacLean married Geraldine Dorothy Stonhouse, daughter of Sir Arthur Allan Stonhouse, 13th/16th Bt. and Beatrice Feron, on 29 May 1941.¹
     He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Air Force.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)¹
