     George Edward Sutcliff was born on 17 March 1945.¹ He is the son of James Harvey Sutcliff and Katharine Fozard Stockdale.²
     He was educated at Dulwich College, London, England.¹ He graduated from Nottingham University, Nottinghamshire, England, in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ He graduated from Nottingham University, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England, with a Master of Science (M.Sc.)¹

     Isabel Anne Stockdale was born on 10 January 1911.¹ She is the daughter of Reverend Robert William Stockdale and Emily Fozard.²
     She was educated at Harrogate College, Harrogate, Yorkshire, England.¹

     Eustace Hervey Stockdale was born on 27 September 1864.¹ He was the son of Henry Minshull Stockdale and Sarah Emily Knight.² He died on 19 September 1886 at age 21, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 68th Durham Light Infantry.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹

     Brig.-Gen. Herbert Edward Stockdale was born on 22 June 1867.¹ He was the son of Henry Minshull Stockdale and Sarah Emily Knight.² He married Margaret Frances Bartlet, daughter of Reverend J. T. Bartlet, on 4 February 1909.¹ He died on 28 December 1953 at age 86.¹
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.¹ He was jofficer in 1886.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in 1899.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1901, where he was mentioned in dispatches.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches five times.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1915.¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier-General.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1916.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1919.¹

     Reverend J. T. Bartlet lived at Little Houghton, Northamptonshire, England.¹

     Margaret Frances Bartlet was the daughter of Reverend J. T. Bartlet.² She married Brig.-Gen. Herbert Edward Stockdale, son of Henry Minshull Stockdale and Sarah Emily Knight, on 4 February 1909.¹ She died on 8 November 1973.¹
     From 4 February 1909, her married name became Stockdale.

     Margaret Mary Stockdale was born on 6 August 1912.¹ She is the daughter of Brig.-Gen. Herbert Edward Stockdale and Margaret Frances Bartlet.²
