     Thomas Henry Mackenzie Stewart was born on 17 August 1930.1 He was the son of Roy Mackenzie Stewart and Agnes Maud Stirling.2 He married Marie-Paule Irène Ouellet, daughter of François Ouellet, on 20 August 1960.1 He died on 22 June 2000 at age 69.1
     He was educated at Nautical College, Pangbourne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, in 1955 with a Bachelor of Surgery (Ch.B.)1 He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, in 1955 with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)1 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant between 1956 and 1958 in the Royal Air Force, 2nd Tactical Air Force.1 He was Associate Professor of Medicine at University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Ontario, CanadaG.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Physicians, Canada (F.R.C.P.(C)) in 1962.1
