     Sir Stewart Dykes Spicer, 3rd Bt. was born on 2 November 1888.1 He is the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Albert Spicer, 1st Bt. and Jessie Stewart Dykes.2 He married Margaret Grace Gillespie, daughter of Thomas Paterson Gillespie, on 11 January 1917.1 He died on 11 January 1968 at age 79.1
     He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.3 He was with the BBC between 1935 and 1951.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Spicer, of Lancaster Gate, Borough of Paddington [U.K., 1906] on 27 October 1966.1

Lancelot Dykes Spicer1

     Lancelot Dykes Spicer was born on 22 March 1893.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Albert Spicer, 1st Bt. and Jessie Stewart Dykes.2 He married, firstly, Iris Beverley Cox, daughter of William Pallett Cox, on 6 October 1920.1 He and Iris Beverley Cox were divorced in 1935.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy Gwyther, daughter of Frank Edwin Gwyther, on 1 August 1951.1
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 9th Battalion, Yorkshire Light Infantry.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) and bar.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1919.1 He was chairman of Spicers paper manufacturers and stationers between 1951 and 1959.1

     Iris Beverley Cox is the daughter of William Pallett Cox.2 She married Lancelot Dykes Spicer, son of Rt. Hon. Sir Albert Spicer, 1st Bt. and Jessie Stewart Dykes, on 6 October 1920.1 She and Lancelot Dykes Spicer were divorced in 1935.1
     From 6 October 1920, her married name became Spicer.
