     Walter Thomas Patrick Spens was born in 1881.¹ He was the son of Walter Cook Spens and Helen Gillespie.² He married Mabel Dennison Watson, daughter of David Henry Watson, on 25 February 1908.¹ He died on 18 February 1917, on active service France.¹

     Mabel Dennison Watson was the daughter of David Henry Watson.² She married Walter Thomas Patrick Spens, son of Walter Cook Spens and Helen Gillespie, on 25 February 1908.¹ She died on 22 May 1960.¹

     Thomas Robertson Spens was born in 1884.¹ He was the son of Walter Cook Spens and Helen Gillespie.² He died, an infant.¹

     Henry Glassford Bell Spens was born in 1886.¹ He was the son of Walter Cook Spens and Helen Gillespie.² He died on 29 June 1911.¹

     Nathaniel Spens was born in 1887.¹ He was the son of Walter Cook Spens and Helen Gillespie.² He died in September 1935.¹

     Margaret Isabella Spens was the daughter of Walter Cook Spens and Helen Gillespie.² She died, unm.¹

     Janet Spens was the daughter of Walter Cook Spens and Helen Gillespie.² She died on 14 January 1963, unmarried.¹

     Helen Hamilton Spens is the daughter of Walter Cook Spens and Helen Gillespie.² She married Reverend John Charles Fellowes, son of Vice-Admiral Charles Fellowes and Louisa Garden Tod, on 15 April 1902 at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.^1,3
     From 15 April 1902, her married name became Fellowes.^1,3
